Alice House

Support Services

Alice House provides survivors, professionals, and community members with practical tools and educational resources to help break the cycle of intimate partner violence.

The Economic Independence Program (EIP) supports women in achieving their personal, financial, housing, and career goals, while alleviating poverty. This innovative program addresses the financial abuse experienced by women who have left Gender-Based Violence, which often hinders their independence and ability to pursue long-term goals. EIP helps women regain financial independence through budgeting, credit repair, and job readiness.

The Food Security Program (FSP) ensures access to fresh and healthy food for women and children, reducing barriers. New clients receive move-in food boxes to ensure immediate access to essential items during their transition into safe housing. Our staff regularly stocks the pantry through monthly shopping trips, catering to the needs of 18 households. Generous donors have provided gift cards to subsidize weekly groceries, providing crucial support considering rising food prices.

“I have to deal with my ex because of our daughter. I know now not to try and talk to him while he is angry. I don’t deserve to be talked to the way he talks to me when he is angry.”
