Violence Prevention Education

If you have suffered from IPV, you have access to trauma-informed counselling, group therapy, and child & youth support services tailored to help you process your experiences, regain confidence, and move forward on your own terms.

At Alice House, much of our work is in response to instances of intimate partner violence. However, we know that to achieve a society free of violence, we need to increase public awareness and ensure our communities have the information they need to stop abuse before it begins. We deliver early intervention and educational workshops, focusing on creating healthy relationships and recognizing signs of abuse. Through our online, self-directed courses and through presentations facilitated with community partners, Alice House is working towards a Nova Scotia where women and children can heal and live a life free from intimate partner violence.
