“Now that I have a safe place to come home to, I will never let myself live another way.”
Alice House recognizes that physical and emotional healing require time and support in a safe and stable environment. Unlike emergency shelters, our Safe Housing Program provides longer-term housing to our 65+ women and children annually. Our 18 self-contained units are confidentially located and equipped with enhanced security features, including perimeter cameras, 24-hour alarm monitoring, and kick-proof doors.
Our units are available to women at below market rate and these lease agreements build credit and leasing history.
Women and families stay in our safe housing for 3-24 months, receiving support as they transition to long-term housing. This secure environment allows women and children to recover from trauma and abuse, moving towards a peaceful and independent life.
