We are beyond grateful for the success of Wine Fair Halifax on Saturday October 19th! The night was filled with laughter, great wine, and, most importantly, the warmth and generosity of our amazing community. Thanks to everyone who came together. We are thrilled to announce that $5,400 was raised through our prize raffle in support of Alice House and the life-changing work we do to support women and children in need.

In 2023, over 400 fundraisers participating in the Emera Blue Nose Marathon raised over $255,000 for charity! With your support, we can make an even greater impact this year.
Welcoming all ages, abilities and fitness levels, the Giv’er Charity Challenge is a unique fundraising program available at the May 17th-19th, 2024 Emera Blue Nose Marathon – Atlantic Canada’s largest annual marathon. Participants can make their run, walk, or wheel more meaningful by raising funds for a charity of their choice!
We are thrilled to announce a truly special event that promises to light up the night and make a meaningful impact. On Thursday October 19, The Royal LePage Shelter Foundation is hosting a 3K community night walk, and we're coming together to support the life-saving work of Alice House!
As the warmer weather approaches, the Alice House community is excitedly preparing for the summer. Our friends at CanadaHelps are helping us kick off the season with an incredible contest: the Great Canadian Giving Challenge. Every dollar you donate through our CanadaHelps page in June automatically enters us for a chance to win $20,000!
On June 23, 2022, we were thrilled to host our friends and partners from Calgary, Alberta to learn more about the HomeFront Model. The HomeFront Model is an evidence-based response to domestic violence; the team spoke with us about what the model is and how data and evaluation had led to improved client and system outcomes. As well, participants were given tools and resources they can use to integrate a similar response. HomeFront is an internationally recognized, best practice domestic violence justice response based out of Calgary, Alberta and reaching as far as Ukraine and Japan.
Safety and security are paramount in our work.
In collaboration with a generous, private donor, we are excited to announce a fundraiser we will be hosting throughout the month of June. With this matching campaign, our goal is to raise 50% of their donation to support the cost of safety and security at Alice House. That means we need your help raising $5,000 so we can turn it into $15,000!
Each year at Alice House when the holiday season approaches, we come together to identify the needs and wishes expressed by the women and children of Alice House. Above and beyond our Family Sponsorship Program, we make our Holiday Wish List available to the community.
This list is perfect for individuals, families, friends, and colleagues who would like to help a person or family in need during the holiday season. At Alice House, gifts go directly to those living at Alice House or those who are accessing our services.
